The protective cover came out of what I call a karmic hole.

Something similar happened to me in my youth. I desperately wanted a GameBoy, but my parents didn't want to buy one. One day I just found a GameBoy on the street, with a frozen game of Tetris. I looked around, but there was noone on the street, so I took it. On my way back home I asked some kids if they knew something about a missing GameBoy, but no. I had a lot of fun with it until I gave it away to some younger relative.

Many years later my GBA SP vanished. I like to think it fell into the same karmic hole the other GameBoy came from and now some child who can't have his own GBA has a lot of fun with it.

So someday another of your protective covers will vanish to help a traveller in need. Karma is a wonderful thing. :)
