It really is the Best. Show. Ever. :-)

I'd argue that Firefly was better. . . also because of its killer writing etc. . . but it never got the chance to "shine" like Lost is now. :-(

Too often religions, laws, political leaders etc. are too polarizing in their implementation to make real sense to people who like to THINK. Good/Bad, Right/Wrong, With us/Against us. The world just doesn't work that way. Don't insult me by trying to put it in neat little definable categories.

LOST! Lost blows all that away in a VERY entertaining way. Pure brain candy. :-)

The local Hollywood video store has this series on dvd, I am going to try and rent it this week and find out what you guys are talking about, also I have a dilemma in that I am either going to make Eugenia's Strogonoff or the the torilini.
I am not a good cook, but King Solomon said in the bible that there are three secrets for happinsess.
Good Food, Good drink and the 3rd is for married people

Yes, I prefer "Lost" as entertainment and puzzle-riddling show. ST:TNG is still my favorite show just because it has SOME episodes that are important social commentary pieces that every kid should grow up with. From all the 180 TNG episodes, only about 30-35 of them are really good, while on Lost 90% of the episodes are near-perfect in terms of writing and direction. The rest of the Star Trek series can't compete with either Lost or TNG, in my opinion. The important thing to remember with Lost is that you need to start from episode 1, and never miss an episode, because it's the most serialized primetime show ever created.

No, this is not it. It's not about not understanding the series, it's about Ben portrayed that way by the writers: a bad guy, that has some mysterious good cause that makes you think of him not exactly good, and not exactly bad. The fact that there is such an almost equal share in the poll results shows how multi-dimensional characters are on Lost, it's not because these viewers don't understand what they see. Besides, this is the DarkUFO site we are talking about: the most visited "Lost" fan site by fanatics. Trust me, fanatics take Lost apart by not missing a beat, they don't watch it while putting the baby to sleep or cooking at the same time.

These people are probably from those who say they had to watch a film a dozen times to "understand" what it was "really" about.

Treat that line as being either a positive or a negative remark. Well, that also has to be decided.
