Thanks Stacy. I cut to the point where I move the camera in the footage and pan quickly. In between these two jerky points that you normally discard, you fast motion it at 400%, and then you add the "linear blur" filter. This way, you have normal motion between the steady shots, and fast/blurry motion during the shots that were not meant to be kept.

As for the before and after color grading images, I updated the blog post above with samples.

ok -- forget what I said about 'flash' transitions. :) I saw this video on vimeo yesterday and was thinking that you were using those 'flashbulb' type transitions. Must have been something else I saw.

Anywhoo, how did you accomplish those transitions that look like jerky-almost-slow-motion-blurred-then-fade-to-white transitions. Is that something OOB with vegas or were you playing around with a few things?

Any way we could see some raw footage? I love the coloring of the wheels (expecially in the preview frame above), and I was wondering how much of this is natural vs. color graded.

And did you do the jerky pans on purpose with those flash transitions in mind? Just curious about the thought process there.

It's goog - but the picture goes slightly mental when the camera pans. This is the flash version. The picture jerks about like mad. Is that a problem with the flash version?
