		<description>There is a problem with competitions par se, no matter how you twist it, someone will lose. This why they are stupid, I like events where everyone is a winner. :-P</description>

		<description>Just because it's equal for all, doesn't mean that it is fair at all. Definitely not fair for the injured person who will lose the competition, even if he might have had the best performance of the year so far. And just because they were organized as such since forever, does not make it fair either. It just makes it a status quo. Nothing more.</description>

The reason it is not unfair is because there is an equal chance for each player to have a bad day. In other words, the disadvantage you describe goes for everybody.</description>
