“you can’t go back”

Oh, you can, it just takes time. I’ve been in the [digital] image&video processing&restoration r&d for a longish while now, and I can nowadays enjoy a movie and see photos without nitpicking continuously. Although when seeing old movies I still can’t totally control myself from chatting about how some defects could be eliminated :/ Life is not just work, and most of the time I manage to keep myself disconnected when needed, and enjoy myself.

Oh, I hear you - one of my hobbies is mixing sound for live musical performances, and I’m forever ruined now. So much so that my wife has stopped taking me to concerts because I’m annoyed when poor sound mixing occurs.

I mean, come on - I go to see a ‘professional’ concert, and the sound mixing is so bad I want to march down to the sound board, toss the moron there out of the way and just do it myself. <img src='http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' />
