I’ve been in the [digital] image&video processing&restoration r&d for a longish while now, and I can nowadays enjoy a movie and see photos without nitpicking continuously. Although when seeing old movies I still can’t totally control myself from chatting about how some defects could be eliminated :/ Life is not just work, and most of the time I manage to keep myself disconnected when needed, and enjoy myself. “you can’t go back”

Oh, you can, it just takes time. So much so that my wife has stopped taking me to concerts because I’m annoyed when poor sound mixing occurs.
