I am not kidding.

It was the only song that had a melody. All the others sounded like gibberish. I am not talking about the lyrics, as they seldom matter in a singing contest.

The only reason it didn’t make it to the finals was because it featured more monsters and Eurovision had it’s fill with monsters last year… (by the way, last year I thought “We are the winners of Eurovision” was the best )

Vassili, tell me you are joking. The song is a joke. Like it’s written by a 9 year old while playing with GarageBand on his mommy’s MacBook.

Ok… its official. You have no taste

I think “Vampires are Alive” was the best song this year, and Cyprus’s song was the second best.

“Vampires are alive” had the best music and phonetics I have heard in Eurovision since “GO” by Scott Fitzgerald in 1988 which came second and lost for just 1 point to Céline Dion’s “Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi”

Except the winner, French, Greek and DJ Bobo’s entries, I have not listened to anything else from this year’s Eurovision.

>Very androdynous

Remember, viewers like to get ’shocked’. That’s how you get votes, so the Serbian singer was clever to do so, following last year’s Finnish example. And it paid off. She won.

Well, hey, did you see the Lithuanian entry? Come to think of it, did you see the French one? The French were robbed. They should have won. Brilliantly un-Francophile song. Mainly in French but with parts in English. Far, far from the usual tripe that France enters. But on the whole, the entire contest was a farce. And, the UK entry was probably the biggest bucket of puke in the contest, before you think I’m being nationalist We had the chance to put in a son by Justin Hawkins (ex- The Darkness) which was a little rock, a little pop but catchy as hell. We chose a hasbeen bubblegum pop band that were BAAAAAD in the ’90’s or whenever they had their fisrt 15 minutes of fame.

The Greek entry was quite good. It was in English IIRC though, a far cry from the one I always remember… the SAGAPO one from about 4 years ago. They were cool.

The rest was okay. The winner was a KD Land a like. Very androdynous. Quite odd. Not even a very good song. Weird choice, but it was all about tactical voting in the Eastern block. Russia votes for Ujraine, Ukrain votes for Russion, Serbia votes foe Russia, Russia votes for Serbia and all that kind of thing.
