JP, you are angering me with your post. In eastern european countries the notion of copyright is NOT strong, you like it or not or you believe it or not. There are very few people who own anything under the copyright law, and as a consequence their societies are not built towards respecting copyright. It has nothing to do with being a savage, it has to do with the reality of things. Greece, my own country, is one of these countries and the vast majority of its citizens don’t respect the copyright law at all. Same goes for countries like Ukraine. And that’s the truth of it.

An ad inspired in another one. And because of that you think those savages europeans doesn’t have a “strong notion of copyrights”?

Maybe is true. I want to believe it. And I’m happy that, back in the eightys, Xerox do not enforced they copyrights about mouse, graphic interfaces, etc.

The soccer ad is a ripoff. It is not about inventing, it is about making something so similar. Even the soccer song at the end goes “lalalala”, just like the Fratellis song does in the Apple commercial.
