		<description> I think many  of the dresses are provided by designers hoping to get some publicity. When some celeb stops to announce &#8220;I&#8217;m wearing a design by&#8230;.&#8221;, I take that as a clue.
	
That&#8217;s not to say a lot don&#8217;t also spring for their own dresses, especially people &#8212; nominees, presenters, etc. &#8212; who know they will be on camera. Having worn it once, they can offload it at decent price. </description>
