Hopefully, I won’t be paying taxes just so some people can fund their ‘prove a point’ campaign — even if I am pro-gay marriage.

Exactly, as JBQ said. They’re just trying to point out the flaws in one “gay marriage is wrong” argument by showing the absurd implications of the logic.

No, all they want to do it to make a political point. Their goes is not to get the law passed, it’s to show that tying marriage to procreation (which has been raised as part of the debate on same-sex marriage) is the wrong metric.
