UK becoming ’surveillance society’
“Britain’s privacy watchdog sounded the alarm over growing state and commercial intrusion into people’s lives as a report on Thursday ranked the country alongside Russia and China as “endemic surveillance societies.”
Honestly, I don’t know how I feel about this. From one side I don’t like being watched all the time and on the other side I believe it’s a needed measure for security. I think this is how most people feel too, if we are to take into account the CNN poll where (so far) exactly 50% of the voters are for and 50% are against! Go figure…
I guess, like with most things, finding a balance between all this is the best way to go. As my(?) Greek ancestors said, moderation is best (”?a? µ?t??? ???st??”).
