Chavez: Bush is the devil

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez tore into his U.S. counterpart and his U.N. hosts Wednesday, likening President Bush to the devil and telling the General Assembly that its system is “worthless”: “We have no power, no power to make any impact on the terrible situation in the world,” he said.

He might have been over the top regarding Bush being the devil (he ain’t), but he was spot on regarding the General Assembly. The UN must be given REAL POWER.

Actually I think the UN works great. Not to it’s intended function, but to making us aware of what’s really going on.

If they had real power the lobbying system would have crippled them too. At least they get a lot of press and help with public awareness.

Meaning the U.S. needs to pay its bill to the U.N.

He ain’t the devil, but he is really close to the devil… He is his puppet. But, there’s no surprise there.

Who’s gonna make sanctions against the US? Why do some country’s have a veto power, including the US? Are they really more important than all the other countries? No, they simply ain’t! So, the UN should be controlled equally by all countries! No veto options, nothing. One country, one vote. Simple isn’t it?

The UN can have real power when it pays its own way. Currently, the US and European countries seem to do most of the funding. Real power is money in this day and age, and the US and Europe have most of it.
