Former Nazi removed from space hall of fame

A former Nazi scientist who was linked to experiments on prisoners in the Dachau concentration camp in Germany has been ousted from the International Space Hall of Fame. […] Strughold was linked to experiments on concentration camp prisoners in the 1940s as the Nazi director of medical research for aviation, Seligman said, though she said she did not know of him personally conducting experiments.

I find this to be a very poor judgement. The guy was simply “linked” to the gruesome experiements, they don’t have evidence that he actually took part on them. And besides, he was working under orders, it’s not like he could walk away from it. I mean, why have Einstein been in Hall of Fame who was mighty responsible for the atomic bomb and remove this guy who’s inclusion to the test is questionable at best? And why have the rest of the Germans in the Hall of Fame too then? Some of them created powerful weapons that were used against the Allies. Why their indirect involvement was not punished and this guy’s questionable involvement was? And besides, what if he later in his life –while in USA– the guy really turned around his ways and political and ethnic opinions? Why punish someone after his death for what he did under orders when was never judged as a war criminal in the first place? In my opinion, this removal of his name was plain overreacting.
